Assassin's Creed II Short Films

Ubisoft. will be producing three short films based on Assassin's Creed II. Each one will be about 10-15 minutes in length. Ubisoft will be using their recently purchased Hybrid Studios, which put out movies like 300 and Spy Kids to film the shorts. The sets will be shot almost entirely in front of a green screen and will use the same back drops from the game. Yves Simoneau was given the pleasure to direct the episodes which will feature most of the voice actors, and motion captured actors from the game.

The project has been named "Lineage" and will be the prequel to the game, and whose focus is on the father of the assassin Ezio.

Ubisoft has not announced an official release date for the short films, but stated that the films will be release separately leading up to the game, which is set to release 11/17/09, and then possibly bundled together on DVD shortly after.
