With the soon to be released Apple TV you will be able to watch, rent and buy movies and tv shows, view HD content, display photos and listen to music from your television.
In an a recent interview by Industry Gamers industry analyst Michael Pachter comments that Apple is currently working on applying video game applications to the Apple TV.
Considering that Apple's technology is application oriented and embraces independent developers, I personally think that we could be witnessing a new generation of game development. Maybe all those poor publishers depending upon XBLA for a break will get a second chance as another door opens up for indie game developers.
