The Batman: Arkham Asylum demo, available by download from Xbox Live and Playstation Network is finally ready as a little appetizer for an upcoming feast of whoop-ass for starving gamers craving a little bit of the Dark Knight and his arch enemy, the Joker.
Writer, and 5 time Emmy award-winner, Paul Dini, credited with Batman: The Animated Series [which was 'The' best cartoon of its' time] and the first season of Lost, wrote an original story soley for this game.
Batman and Commissioner Gordon are escorting the Joker to Arkham Asylum, Gotham city's psychiatric hospital. Once they get there the Joker springs a trap, liberates himself from his straight jacket and released everyone inside. This instigates Batman into recapturing the Joker, but nothing is that simple. A plethora of enemies, clues, puzzles, and villains like:
- Zsaz, HARLEY QUINN, Killer Croc, and Bane will stand between him and restoring the integrity of Arkham.
The Dark Knight's surplus of gadgetry includes: - Batarang, Explosive gel aerosol, Batclaw, Sonar resonator, and a Line launcher.
The greatest detective in the world only works with the best custom made cutting-edge forensic technology to help him solve clues; he'll be well versed and come equipped with some toys:
- x-ray scanner, finger scanner, 'Amido Black' sprays, and pheromone trackers.
