Fable III: "The Race For The Crown Has Begun"

Lionhead studios' creative director Peter Molyneux confirmed at GamesCon in Cologne, Germany (Aug. 19-23) that Fable III is already in development and will release exclusively for XBox 360 during the holiday season of 2010.

"We've spent a lot of time at Lionhead thinking about how we can innovate the gameplay and progress the world of the Fable games for its third chapter, and we're confident that players won't second-guess what we have planned for Fable III," -Peter Molyneux

The journey to rule Albion takes place 50 years after the last chapter; during your childhood of Fable II. Tyranny injustices, and poverty plague the citizens of Albion, and as king or queen you will presented with a plethora of circumstances that will (at the end) affect your kingdom, your people, and their political opinion of you.
As you forge through Albion to acquire the crown you'll witness a people divided. What will you do? Will you stand up for them, will you ignore them as you pursue the throne? The answers to these questions, once again, are up to you. Propositions of heroism, leadership, wickedness and the consequences they reap will present themselves on a grander scale this time.

"Though I can't give too much away right now, players should expect to have to make much tougher choices with far wider consequences than ever before in Albion—and with many more interactive adventure elements," said Peter Molyneux.

mini swords, mini shuriken, Mini Ninjas: 09/08/09

Danish developer IO Interactive (Hitman, Freedom Fighters, Kane & Lynch)

is set to release its' latest in, Mini Ninjas, a single player only, 3rd person action-adventure game published by Eidos and Warner Bros. The game is set in Japan before westernization so it's full of ninjas and samurai. Play as Hiro, Futo, Suzume and others in your quest to stop an evil samurai warlord that has learned how to use ancient forbidden techniques to turn innocent animals (from rabbits and foxes, to pandas and rhinos) into his evil henchmen; all the while agitating nature; creating horrendous storms and destructive phenomena.

IO Interactive is retained by Japanese owned, Square Enix, the pioneers of RPG video games.

So their resources, and affinity for game quality have definitely been met; plus IO created the game on their Glacier graphics engine - fully equipped with Havok Physics. The game's rich colors and contrasting backgrounds combined with cell-shading produce a "pop" effect. And the artistic representations really create the feeling of being in an old Japanese painting.

Mini Ninjas releases:

  • North America: September 8

  • Europe: September 11

Available for:

  • DS, PC, PS3, Wii, Xbox360

  • ESRB E 10+ (crude humor, and cartoon violence)

Play the "Mini Ninja" mini game "Ninja Shadow" and unlock 2 other games, view more trailers, and check out characters; all at the official Mini Ninja website!
